about the artist
BIO
Danielle Kirby is a contemporary landscape artist living in Wyoming. Her paintings explore the colors and light that occur in the big skies of the West. Danielle received a degree in graphic design and worked as a designer for 13 years before pursuing art full-time as a self-taught painter. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Wyoming State Museum, as well as private collections across the United States.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I’m charmed by moments of light and dark on the plains of the West. My landscape paintings are places of my imagination, uninhabited and unblemished. They are my attempt to recreate the moments preceding a thunderstorm, the rich colors of Western sunsets, and the rolling hills and sagebrush that frame the skies.
